53 years, living in Munich (Germany) and recently moved to South Africa.

For the photo enthusiasts here are some details on the equipment I use.

I started photography already as teenager using Minolta equipment (X500 and X700 - which I still own but don't use anymore) and switched to the digital world - which also included a switch to Canon (Powershot G1). But used to high quality equipment I soon changed back to the DSLR world. It ended up with a complete Canon equipment with several L-lenses and a full frame Canon 5D Mk II as main camera.

For the "easier handling" I started a few years ago to also use some FUJIFILM equipment - and I found out that the quality of both the FUJI X-TRANS sensors and the XF lenses is so extraordinary that the Canon equipment most of the time remained untouched.

Then I did what has been unthinkable for me for a long time, but rationally has been overdue: I switched completely to FUJIFILM after they published in September 2016 the new flagship system camera, the X-T2. Since then I regularly updated my equipment and (so far) I ended up with the following gear:

Fujifilm X-H1,
Fujifilm X-T3,
Fujifilm X100V,
Fujifilm GFX 50R
and various prime and zoom lenses of both XF and GF series …

The Photo Editing I'm doing with Capture One Pro. I switched over from Lightroom as I found out, that the RAW processing from C1 leads to much "crisper" results especially for Fujifilm raw files.
